Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,345m)
Arrive in Kathmandu at any time. Our airport representative will welcome you and transfer you from Tribhuvan International Airport to your hotel by private vehicle. After check-in, you can rest, enjoy a warm meal, or explore Thamel’s lively streets filled with trekking shops and local cafés. This day is kept easy so you can recover from travel and be fresh for the adventure ahead.
Day 02: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation in Kathmandu (1,345m)
Today is a balanced day for preparation and optional culture. You will meet your guide, review the full trek and climbing plan, and do a thorough equipment check. If you need any last-minute gear (sleeping bag liner, down gloves, trekking poles, etc.), Kathmandu is the best place to arrange it. If time permits, you can also enjoy a cultural day tour (optional) to heritage sites to understand Nepal’s history before heading into the mountains.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (822m | 6–7 hrs)
In the morning, travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara by VIP Sofa Seater Luxury Tourist Bus. The highway journey follows river valleys, green hills, roadside towns, and terraced farmland—great for seeing real Nepali countryside. After arriving in Pokhara, you’ll check in to your hotel and enjoy the relaxed lakeside atmosphere with views of the Annapurna range on clear days.
Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul – Trek from Nayapul to Ghandruk (1,940m | 4–5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, the trekking starting point. The trail begins with easy, well-used paths through terraced fields and small villages, gradually climbing with beautiful valley scenery. You’ll feel the Annapurna region’s cultural charm quickly—stone houses, smiling locals, and traditional Gurung lifestyle. Reaching Ghandruk is special because it’s one of the most famous mountain villages in Nepal with outstanding views and warm hospitality.
Day 05: Trek from Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2,170m | 5–6 hrs)
Today’s trail is a classic Annapurna day: mixed ups and downs on stone steps and forest paths with constant mountain views. You pass through village settlements and cross rivers before climbing to Chhomrong, the gateway to Annapurna Base Camp. The village feels dramatic—built on a hillside facing massive peaks—so you end the day with a strong sense that the real sanctuary journey has begun.
Day 06: Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan (2,600m | 5–6 hrs)
The day starts with a descent to the river, then a steady climb through lush forest. The trail becomes quieter as you move deeper into the valley, with bamboo groves, waterfalls, and shaded paths. You’ll notice the air getting cooler and the landscape changing as you gain altitude. Dovan is a peaceful stop, perfect for resting before higher alpine terrain in the coming days.
Day 07: Trek from Dovan to Deurali (3,230m | 4–5 hrs)
The trail gradually climbs through bamboo and rhododendron forest, then becomes more open with rocky sections and avalanche-prone zones (crossed carefully and quickly). The scenery turns more dramatic—steep valley walls, glacial streams, and bigger mountain presence. Deurali is a key transition point where you truly feel you’re entering the high sanctuary environment.
Day 08: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (4,130m | 6–7 hrs)
A spectacular day of Himalayan scenery. You trek from Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, then continue deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary toward Annapurna Base Camp. The trail is steady and scenic, with glacial landscapes and towering amphitheater views. Arriving at ABC is unforgettable: surrounded by huge peaks on all sides, the setting feels like a natural mountain stadium. This is one of Nepal’s most iconic trekking moments.
Day 09: Explore Annapurna Base Camp – Trek from ABC to Tharpu Chuli Base Camp (4,400m | 4–5 hrs)
Enjoy sunrise at Annapurna Base Camp—golden light hitting the peaks is a highlight for nearly every traveler. After breakfast, begin trekking from ABC to Tharpu Chuli Base Camp. The route stays within the sanctuary with incredible close-up mountain views and a more expedition-like atmosphere. Reaching base camp is special because the journey shifts from trekking to peak climbing—tents, team coordination, and a true mountaineering feel.
Day 10: Rest Day and Pre-Climb Training at Tharpu Chuli Base Camp (4,400m)
Today is essential for safety and success. Your climbing guide will provide training on using harness, crampons, ice axe, ropes, and climbing technique. You’ll practice movement on snow/ice terrain (as conditions allow), learn communication signals, and review summit-day procedures. This day also helps your body adjust at high altitude so you can climb stronger and safer tomorrow.
Day 11: Summit Tharpu Chuli (5,663m) – Trek back to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m | 10–12 hrs)
A big and rewarding summit day. You begin early before sunrise and climb steadily using ropes and technical equipment where required. The effort is challenging due to altitude, but the reward is enormous—wide Himalayan views and a true summit achievement. After reaching the top, you descend carefully back through base camp and continue down to Machhapuchhre Base Camp for a warmer rest and better recovery.
Day 12: Trek from Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Bamboo (2,310m | 6–7 hrs)
After the intensity of the climb, today feels like a relief as you descend into greener landscapes. The trail returns through the sanctuary valley with forests, rivers, and familiar villages. Oxygen levels improve and the body quickly feels stronger. Bamboo is a comfortable stop with a quiet mountain-lodge environment.
Day 13: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1,780m | 5–6 hrs)
A scenic day with a mix of ascents and descents, crossing rivers and moving through forest trails. Reaching Jhinu Danda is special because you can enjoy the natural hot springs nearby (time and conditions permitting). It’s the perfect reward after trekking and climbing—relaxing muscles while listening to the river flow.
