Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival at Rainbow Safari Resort – Tharu Culture Tour & Sunset (Sightseeing Day)
Upon arrival in Chitwan, a representative from Rainbow Adventure & Travel will pick you up from Kathmandu or Pokhara hotel and transfer you to Rainbow Safari Resort by private vehicle or tourist bus. On arrival, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink followed by a short briefing about the resort, jungle activities, and safety guidelines.
After check-in, take time to freshen up and relax in the resort’s lush garden surroundings. In the afternoon, an experienced naturalist will escort you from the resort to a nearby Tharu village, where you will learn about the traditional lifestyle, culture, farming practices, and history of the indigenous Tharu people. The tour also includes a visit to the local museum and peaceful sunset views along the Rapti River—an ideal time to observe birds and wildlife near the riverbank.
In the evening, after dinner, enjoy a traditional Tharu stick dance performance, showcasing local music, rhythm, and storytelling that reflects Chitwan’s cultural heritage.
Day 02: Jeep Safari in Chitwan National Park – Departure (Jeep Safari Day)
After an early breakfast, begin an exciting Jeep Safari inside Chitwan National Park, accompanied by a trained naturalist guide. The open jeep allows you to travel deep into the jungle through grasslands, riverbanks, and forest trails.
During the safari, you may encounter one-horned rhinoceros, spotted deer, wild boar, monkeys, wild bison, sloth bear, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species. Chitwan is home to more than 500 bird species, making it a paradise for bird watchers and wildlife photographers. With some luck, you may even spot the elusive Royal Bengal tiger.
After completing the safari and returning to the resort, enjoy some time to relax before departure. In the afternoon or evening, Rainbow Adventure & Travel will transfer you from Rainbow Safari Resort back to Kathmandu, Pokhara, or your pre-scheduled destination.
