Itinerary
Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu / Pokhara to Chitwan National Park (5–6 hrs)
In the morning, Rainbow Adventure & Travel will pick you up from your hotel in Kathmandu or Pokhara and transfer you to Chitwan National Park by private vehicle or tourist bus. The scenic drive passes rivers, farmlands, and small towns before reaching the lush subtropical plains of Chitwan.
Upon arrival at the jungle resort, enjoy a welcome drink followed by a short briefing about resort facilities, jungle activities, and safety guidelines. Our staff will escort you from reception to your room for freshening up and relaxation.
In the afternoon, an experienced naturalist will guide you from the resort to a nearby Tharu village, where you will learn about the lifestyle, traditions, and culture of the indigenous Tharu people. The visit includes a local museum tour and peaceful sunset views along the Rapti River.
After dinner, enjoy a traditional Tharu stick dance performance, showcasing local music, rhythm, and cultural storytelling.
Day 02: Full-Day Chitwan Jungle Excursion (Jungle Activities Day)
After breakfast, the day is devoted to full jungle activities inside Chitwan National Park. Accompanied by a trained naturalist, you will experience a combination of wildlife adventures.
Activities include an elephant safari, offering excellent chances to spot one-horned rhinoceros, deer, wild boar, monkeys, and a variety of bird species. You will also enjoy a canoe trip along the river, ideal for bird watching and observing crocodiles in their natural habitat.
Additional activities include a guided nature walk, bird watching (Chitwan is home to over 450 bird species), an elephant breeding center visit, and opportunities to observe reptiles and mammals in the wild. In the evening, return to the resort for dinner and another enjoyable Tharu cultural dance performance.
Day 03: Jungle Walk & Visit to Kasara Crocodile Hatchery (Jungle Exploration Day)
After breakfast, head out for a guided jungle trek through grasslands, riverine forest, and sal forest. This immersive walk allows you to observe plants, animal tracks, birds, and the diverse ecosystem of Chitwan up close.
Later, continue with a jungle drive to Kasara, where you will visit the crocodile hatchery farm. Here, you will learn how gharial and marsh mugger crocodiles are bred, protected, and later released into the rivers as part of conservation efforts. The remainder of the day is free to relax at the resort and enjoy the natural surroundings.
Day 04: Drive from Chitwan to Kathmandu / Pokhara (5–6 hrs)
After breakfast, enjoy some free time at the resort before departure. Around 8:00 AM, Rainbow Adventure & Travel will transfer you from the jungle resort back to Kathmandu or Pokhara by tourist bus or private vehicle.
The tour concludes with unforgettable memories of wildlife encounters, cultural experiences, and peaceful jungle surroundings.
