Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport where our representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. This day is reserved for rest and settling in after your international journey. If time permits, you can explore Thamel for trekking essentials or enjoy an easy evening walk. Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing & Trek Preparation (1,400m | 3–4 hrs)

Today you explore Kathmandu’s major heritage sites and prepare properly for the trek. A guided tour takes you to key landmarks such as Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath, giving you a deeper cultural understanding of Nepal’s Hindu and Buddhist traditions before entering the sacred Tsum Valley. In the late afternoon, you’ll finalize your packing, review gear with your guide, and complete all paperwork and permit checks to ensure a smooth start into the restricted region.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola (9 hrs | Max Altitude: 869m)

After breakfast, drive out of Kathmandu following scenic highways and river valleys toward the Budhi Gandaki region. The road passes terraced hills, rural villages, and dramatic river scenery, becoming narrower and more adventurous as you approach the trekking area. Machha Khola is a small riverside settlement and the gateway to your journey into the Manaslu–Tsum landscape. On arrival, you can relax at the lodge and enjoy the first taste of rural mountain life.

Day 04: Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (7–8 hrs | Max Altitude: 1,340m)

Today you leave the busier lower valley behind and gradually climb into quieter mountain terrain toward Lokpa—often considered the gateway into the sacred Tsum Valley. The trail passes forest trails, riverside sections, and traditional villages with stone houses and Buddhist symbols. As you gain altitude, you will notice a stronger Tibetan influence in the culture and architecture. Day 16: Final Departure from Kathmandu
