Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,345m)
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Rainbow Adventure & Travel will warmly welcome you and transfer you from the airport to your luxury 5-star hotel in Kathmandu. After check-in, the day is free to relax, recover from your flight, or explore the vibrant streets of Thamel at your own pace. This gentle start helps you prepare mentally and physically for the Himalayan journey ahead.
Day 02: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla – Trek from Lukla to Monjo (2,835m | 5 hrs)
Early in the morning, transfer from hotel to airport for the scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (via Ramechhap Airport during peak season). The short mountain flight offers dramatic views of the Himalayas.
After landing in Lukla, the trek begins on a well-maintained trail following the Dudh Koshi River. You pass prayer wheels, Mani walls, and Sherpa villages before entering Sagarmatha National Park and reaching Monjo—a peaceful village surrounded by forests and rivers.
Day 03: Trek from Monjo to Namche Bazaar (3,440m | 3–4 hrs)
Today’s trek is shorter but involves a steady climb. Crossing suspension bridges—including the iconic Hillary Bridge—you ascend through pine forests to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant capital of the Everest region. Namche is known for its cafés, bakeries, shops, and spectacular mountain setting.
Day 04: Acclimatization Hike to Everest View Hotel (3,880m | 3–4 hrs)
This acclimatization day follows the “climb high, sleep low” principle. You hike from Namche to Everest View Hotel, enjoying panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. The trail passes Sherpa villages and yak pastures, offering insight into local mountain life before returning to Namche for overnight.
Day 05: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Deboche (3,820m | 5 hrs)
The trail descends through forests to the river at Phunki Tenga, then climbs gradually to Tengboche before continuing to Deboche. Along the way, you enjoy dramatic views of Ama Dablam and visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual heart of the Khumbu region.
Day 06: Trek from Deboche to Dingboche (4,410m | 5 hrs)
Descending through rhododendron forest, you cross the Imja Khola and pass Pangboche village. The landscape becomes more alpine as you approach Dingboche, a beautiful high-altitude settlement surrounded by stone-walled fields and towering peaks.
Day 07: Acclimatization Hike to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083m | 4–5 hrs)
A challenging acclimatization hike that rewards you with breathtaking views of Makalu, Ama Dablam, and the Imja Valley. This day significantly improves your altitude adaptation before heading higher toward Everest Base Camp.
Day 08: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910m | 5 hrs)
The trail follows a broad glacial valley, passing memorials dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest. The rugged, dramatic landscape signals that you are now deep in high-altitude territory.
Day 09: Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp – Return to Gorakshep (5,164m | 8 hrs)
Trek to Gorakshep, then continue along the Khumbu Glacier to Everest Base Camp. Standing at the base of the world’s highest mountain is an emotional and unforgettable moment. After exploration, return to Gorakshep for overnight.
Day 10: Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) – Helicopter Flight to Kathmandu
Early morning hike to Kala Patthar, the best viewpoint for Everest and surrounding peaks. After descending to Gorakshep, board a helicopter from Gorakshep to Lukla and onward to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, Rainbow Adventure & Travel will transfer you from helipad to your hotel.
Day 11: Farewell / Departure
A representative from Rainbow Adventure & Travel will transfer you from your hotel to Tribhuvan International Airport approximately three hours before your flight.
Optional trip extensions available such as Chitwan jungle safari, Pokhara sightseeing, Lumbini tour, mountain flight, or Nagarkot sunrise stay.
